Agua Linda Rules and Regulations for Pool Use
1. All facilities of the pool and grounds, including the parking area, shall be used with respect and due consideration for others.
2. Any of the facilities and equipment lost or destroyed by a member or a guest of a member’s family must be replaced or paid for by the member.
3. The Agua Linda Swimming Pool Corporation does not assume any liability for injury or loss of personal belongings of any guest or member in the pool grounds or parking area.
4. Violation of the rules, boisterous or offensive conduct shall be grounds for temporary expulsion of any person from the pool grounds.
5. No eating or drinking on pool apron or in rest rooms. No smoking permitted except in parking lot.
6. Tubes, water wings or other toys may be used in the pool when it is not crowded and at the discretion of the lifeguard. They must be clean and shall not be used in the diving area. Rocks and foreign objects must not be thrown into the pool. Beach balls and Nerf balls are permitted when the pool is not crowded.
7. No running, wrestling, pushing or throwing in or out of pool or surrounding areas. No spitting in pool or snapping of towels permitted.
8. Only one person on the diving board at a time. No jumping off sides of diving board. No “cannonballs”.
9. No swimming near diving board when it is in use, due to hazard of divers accidentally striking a swimmer.
10. All badges, hairpins, bobby pins, gum, etc. must be removed before entering the pool.
11. Cigarettes, paper, trash, etc., must be placed in containers.
12. Only conventional swimwear is acceptable, no cut-offs.
13. No hard liquor allowed within pool property or parking lot. No drinking of alcoholic beverages by persons under the age of 21.
14. Persons with colds, skin diseases or contagious diseases will not be allowed in the pool.
15. No pets allowed within pool premises.
16. No person shall swim unless at least one other adult member or adult guest is on the premises; those 16 years or older are considered adult members.
17. No back diving off the edge of the pool.
18. No playing with lawn furniture.
19. Absolutely NO glass containers allowed on pool premises. Negligent member is responsible for cleanup and injury.
20. Members children between the ages of 11 and 15 inclusive, who are swimmers, may attend the pool without adult supervision, WHEN THE LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY.
21. At the discretion of the lifeguard, when attendance is heavy the pool may be cleared for adults to swim for 10 minute intervals. Adult swim will be called every hour on the hour for 10 minutes when lifeguard is present.
22. The lifeguard is responsible for the swimmers in the pool.
23. The lifeguard has the authority to enforce pool and safety rules on the entire pool premises.
24. Return chairs and pick up any trash before leaving.
25. The pool is open from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. during the summer. Hours may be shortened at the Board’s discretion. No one is allowed in the pool when the pool is closed.
26. All members are required to “sign-in” when using the pool.
27. When pool is being drained, pool must be closed for safety reasons.
1. Members must stay on the premises with their guest at all times.
2. Guests are limited to four persons at a time or one family, per member family.
3. Members are responsible for their guests and their conduct.
4. Members must register guests upon entering the premises and deposit guest fees in money container provided.
5. Parent authorized baby-sitters 16 and older, may bring children of members only when the lifeguard is on duty. NO GUEST BENEFITS WHEN BABY-SITTING.
6. Member children 11-15 years old who are swimmers may have one 11-15 year old or older guest who is a swimmer when the lifeguard is on duty. Lifeguard may require proof of swimming ability.
POOL PARTIES
Parties may be reserved any day except Sundays and holiday weekends. One adult swimmer must be present for every five children. If there are 15 non-member children, a lifeguard must be secured at your own expense. Agua Linda employed Lifeguard must be secured at a cost of $30 for 3 hours of party time. Adult parties may be reserved on Friday and Saturday nights. Members may use the pool at the time of the pool party; the pool is not for the exclusive use of the booking party. Party has exclusive use of the covered picnic area and one of the BBQ's. Members are responsible for all cleanup. If the grounds are not clean, there will be an additional charge, at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Contact the Secretary for reservations. A calendar will be posted at the pool with the booking dates entered on it for informational purposes only. Entries should only be made by the Secretary. DO NOT use this calendar to make reservations.
